I inform you about transportation on this page.

Dear Visitors

Thank you for your visiting the Meidaisai. 

We won’t prepare a parking area for visitors because of smooth operation. Please come by public transportation. Do not park on public roads or nearby stores.  

Request about bicycles

During the Meidaisai, we will set a “no bicycles zone” because we save an event planning area and guard visitors. We will temporarily move bicycles which are in the no bicycles zone on June 9th at 1 P.M. Please move your bicycle out of the no stopping zone by 1 P.M., June 9th.

We will use the no bicycles area as a pedestrian zone on June 9th and 10th. Do not enter the pedestrian zone with a motor bicycle or bicycle. We thank you for your cooperation. 

Requests about cars

There will have been special traffic restriction on Higashiyama Campus on June 10th and 11th. Under this restriction, we will save a lot of parking areas for the people related to the Meidaisai. We request you not to commute by car on June 10th and 11th.

We also request you to move your car out of the no cars area and the pedestrian zone by 6 P.M., June 9th. Thank you for your cooperation.

For residents

During the Meidaisai, we expect an increase in the number of on-street parking. We appeal to visitors not to do before the Meidaisai and watch the vicinity of Nagoya University. I’m sorry to put you to so much trouble. Thank you for your cooperation.

Bicycles which are put on no bicycle area around Yotsuya-Street are certainly removed before and after the Meidaisai. We request you not to park your bicycle these area. If you have some questions for the removal of bicycles, please call Chikusa Police Station at 052-781-5211.
